Snow Day Photoshoot

 

We had a snow day and decided to go to Barfield Park, which is right next to our apartment. We took this shot on the way back to the car with the Nikon D60 and AF-S Nikkor 35mm f1.8G lens. I had my SB600 in the hotshoe because the Cactus V4s were acting up and didn't want to fire the flash for some reason. This was taken at 1/200th with f2 aperture and the ISO set to 200. The SB600 was on TTL balanced fill mode zoomed to 35mm with -1.0 compensation.

Fall Creek Falls - Gorge Overlook Trail

We went to Fall Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee and found this place on the Gorge Overlook trail past Cane Creek Falls. This shot was taken with my Nikon D60 and 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 VR Nikkor lens at ISO 400. The camera was set on full manual 1/15s with an aperture of f5.6 @ 52mm. VR was turned off for this shot while it was mounted on the tripod. White Balance was manually set to direct sunlight. For fill lighting I used a bare SB600 directly on the hotshoe at 50mm zoom and set to Balance Fill TTL mode with -2.7EV compensation. The sun was shining through the trees from camera right at about 4 o'clock. It was taken with my Nikon ML-L3 remote.
